Come play Pickleball! It's easy to learn and lots of fun. A group plays every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 9:30a. Our ages range from young folks to people in their 80s. Some people are good; others are beginners. Everyone plays! The lines for four courts are painted on the abandoned portion of Virginia Ave SE; the surface isn't totally smooth. The nets and balls are kept in a locker on site. Most players bring their own paddles, but extras are in the locker. Come join the fun!
Location: Garfield Park starts at 2nd and G Streets SE and extends to New Jersey Ave SE on the west. The courts are on the far end of the park (keep walking past the tennis courts) on the abandoned portion of Virginia Ave SE, directly below the rock wall at Garfield Park, under the SE Freeway, and north of Whole Foods. This activity is eligible for minutes in Get Your Move On!
