Do You Want to Learn How to Play Mahjong?
CHV Mahjong Affinity Group Leader Patrick Hamilton will hold a two-hour Mahjong class on Wednesday, July 20, 2-4 pm at the Lockwood Apartments. All CHV members are invited to come and learn how to play.
Mahjong or mah-jongg is a tile-based game developed in China in the 19th Century. Like the card game rummy, mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and luck! The mahjong set has 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols and was played on the docks of Shanghai. Now the very popular game is played all around the world.
The four-player tile game is fun and easy to learn. If you would like to learn how to play and join the Wednesday games, please sign up with the Village by registering online or calling 202/543-1778.
