FOOD JUSTICE

We know there are food deserts in DC.  On Monday June 28 we will hear how our city government and community organizations are working on combating food insecurity in some of our neighborhoods. 

Agriculture research coordinator from UDC Center for Urban Agriculture and Gardening Education will tell us about his research in urban agriculture and share with us his experiences in helping citizens to grow food in DC.  Member of Blair Road Community Garden will tell us about their garden’s history, their community and their harvests.
