The Village’s Anti-Racism Working Group has been meeting since September 2020. Our group typically meets every other Thursday from 1:30-3pm via Zoom. The purpose of this group is to be the programmatic arm of CHV’s anti-racism work. For the collective Village (individuals, organization, and the community) to do our part as an anti-racist organization, to define specific programmatic actions against racism, and to nurture partnerships between CHV and other local groups who are also seeking to address structural racism. Attendees of the working group both participate in idea sharing and development of programs. We work to support the Village's current programs to address race in anti-racist ways, as well as create new programs and opportunities to explore race and racism.

For our August 5th meeting, we welcome you to join us and learn about what the Anti-Racism Working Group has been working on up until this point. Some of the programs we will be discussing include District Dialogues, the Anti-Racism Pods, the Anti-Racism reading group, and more. The August 5th meeting will be primarily a time for individuals who have not attended the group in the past and are interested in learning more about what we are currently working on. The Anti-Racism Working Group plans to hold a follow up in person meeting to evaluate what we have accomplished so far, where we have fallen short, and where we want to go from here. We hope you will join us on August 5th!
