Join us for our first of four poetry workshops! Participants will learn about poetry, engage in activities for writing poetry, and workshop one’s work with other participants. We will provide a safe space for participants to write about gender identity and/or sexual orientation if they are interested in doing so. You are also invited to our open mic night on April 30th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, come listen to or share your poetry and any work that inspires you.  

These events are a partnership with Capitol Hill Village, Visible Magazine, and Terrific Inc; open to LGBT* individuals over 18 and of any experience level with poetry. Our LGBTQ programs are funded by the DC Department of Aging and Community Living and are open to any DC residents.
