The next CHV Memoir Affinity Group zoom event will take place on March 4 at 1 pm.  Our guest speaker will be author Louise Farmer Smith talking about her essay, On Betraying Family (in stories and memoirs).  Louise writes short stories, memoirs and works of fiction as well as non-fiction and has received numerous book awards for her work. She was a college and high school professor and a Congressional aide, here in DC.  We will hear from Louise and discuss how to talk about family in a Memoir.

Louise, a granddaughter of Oklahoma pioneer dugout dwellers and chip gatherers was born in Washington DC and grew up in Oklahoma.  Among her books are ONE HUNDRED Years  OF MARRIAGE, Cadillac, Oklahoma and THE WOMAN WITHOUT A VOICE in which she writes about Oklahoma’s past as well as stories from the back rooms of Capitol Hill.

Everyone is welcome to zoom in.  A copy of her essay ON BETRAYING FAMILY will be sent to all next week.  Please register with CHV.  202 543-1778 or register online.

And don’t forget about the Publishing Webinar, this Thursday at 4pm.  Please contact CHV to sign up for zoom link.
