Have brunch with Lew Simons, Pulitzer Prize-winning foreign correspondent and investigative journalist who posted extraordinary stories from some of the world’s most hostile places.

Simons' began his career covering the Vietnam War, followed by positions throughout Asia. He reported on terror in Tiananmen Square, saved the life of a Tibetan monk and was expelled from India for revealing Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s abuses.

Simons won his Pulitzer for exposing Marcos family corruption, leading to the fall of the Philippines government. Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism called this work one of the “50 Great Stories of the Century.” Referring to his latest book, To Tell the Truth, (forward by the Dalai Lama), Simons will share his experiences covering war, murder and massive government corruption in the midst of extreme poverty, and will provide insight into the challenges and rewards of daily life as a foreign correspondent
