Capitol Hill Village is excited to offer our members a new monthly program called...

Plan to Thrive

By joining our monthly Plan to Thrive sessions, we hope you move from “I should think about this someday” to “I have a plan.” You do not need to join every session to benefit, but we encourage you to join as many as you can!

Agenda:

3pm-3:45pm: Introduction of CHV Planning Tools (Getting Your Papers in Order "GYPIO", Ready or Not, and Solo Aging)

4pm-5pm: Facilitated discussion to share ideas and questions related to aging in place planning

This month we will have the care managers from Aging & Amazing to share more about care management services, common challenges they navigate and support while folks age in place, and will answer your questions!

Welcome to Aging & Amazing | Washington, DC https://www.agingamazing.com/

You are welcome to stay for part or all of the session.

To learn more about what to expect in each session and to sign up ahead of time, find the next Plan to Thrive Session on our Helpful Village Calendar

Next 3 Session Dates:

June 25th: Facilitated discussion will focus on long-term care planning and understanding different options (On June 16th, we will host a supplemental virtual session with Mark A. Gottlieb, MHA
Independent Insurance Advisor and Broker, to discuss long-term care planning and funding options)

July 30th:  Facilitated discussion will focus on assessing your current home and future housing options

August 27th:  Facilitated discussion will focus on emergency planning

Future topics will include: assessing your current home and future housing options, emergency planning, end of life, getting important documents in order, and how those documents work in practice.

Each session is in-person at the Northeast Library (Meeting Room 2-Accessible by elevator and stairs)

330 7th St NE, Washington, DC 20002
