Got 'stuff'? We all do. Some of it is really important or valuable. We know it by looking at it. Other stuff is important, but no one would know unless we told them.

In this three-part workshop, Heather Nickerson, Co-founder of Artifcts, will dive into best practices on how to capture the story, history, and details behind all your keepsakes, and what to do with them once you've done so. We'll explore the power of storytelling and work on actionable story-sharing prompts as we start to create a legacy (and story!) that is uniquely yours.

We'll look at how storytelling and story-sharing can help with decluttering and organizing and provide handouts to help you get started. We'll even include some of the best local resources for going green and re-homing items you may no longer want or need!

If Members want to use technology to record the story behind their objects, please bring whatever device you have (phone, computer, tablet, etc.) Members do not need to use technology and can record their stories on paper. Members will be encouraged to bring in one item they are planning to part with and one item they are going to save (or pictures of the items), so they can share the story behind each object with the other participants.

Participants should expect to attend all three sessions to gain the most out of the workshop. Session 3 is on Aug. 7.
