Join us for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with Reggie Douglas, Mosaic Theater’s dynamic new artistic director and newly-minted Washingtonian of the Year. Reggie is a director, producer, and new play advocate who told Washingtonian Magazine that in Washington “I could combine my love of theater with my love of civic engagement and use theater as a catalyst to make the change I want to see in the world. I believe that theater has the power to create conversations that build community and spark change.”  

 

Douglas created Mosaic’s Reflection Series—a exploring themes of the company’s plays via neighborhood panels, concerts, and readings. He has also instituted a matinee program that brings seniors and youth together for post-show conversations. Reggie has directed in theaters across the country and was previously Associate Artistic Director at Studio Theatre in Washington and Artistic Producer at City Theatre in Pittsburgh. In 2020, he received the National Theatre Conference’s Emerging Professional Award.
