American Presidents in Diplomacy and War
Thomas R. Parker is a lecturer at George Washington University and the author of American Presidents in Diplomacy and War: Statecraft, Foreign Policy and Leadership and The Road to Camp David. He worked for 30 years in diplomatic and military affairs for the White house, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. State Department, and the intelligence community. He argues that Presidential “success is sometimes a combination of prudence and boldness.” As we approach the November election, join us to hear about those characteristics of past Presidents.
