This second District Dialogues talk on housing in DC will be by Dr Yesim Sayin, Executive Director of DC Policy Center. With over twenty years of public policy experience Dr. Sayin is recognized by policymakers, advocates and the media as a source of reliable, balanced analyses on the District’s economy and demography. Her research interests include economic and fiscal policy, urban economic development, housing, and education.
In a presentation backed by maps and statistics Dr Sayin will discuss:
- General structure of housing in DC, historic perspective, and biggest pressure points.
- The role of rental housing in creating inclusion and affordability.
- Comparisons of neighborhoods in density.
