Village Opera Society: Nabucco
Biblical King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon becomes Nabucco in Verdi’s 1841 opera. He has conquered Jerusalem and imprisoned the Jews, but his daughter Fenena has converted to Judaism. Will this story end happily? Find out when Mike and Judy Canning unfold the plot twists and share some of the beautiful music, including the famous “Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves.”
Bring a nibble or drink to share.
